we met the Shipmans at the mall and the kids had a great time!

from a different trip to the mall the week before, but I thought it was cute  :)

Emma got a little individual chocolate cake from Central Market, and needless to say, Pearl was very interested in making sure Emma didn’t make too much of a mess.

Pearl makes her move

but Emma wants those chocolate fingers for herself

Pearl’s not giving up though

lots of pictures!  :)

This horse, Radar, is the tallest horse in the world.  He’s in the Guiness Book of World Records.

We went to our nephew’s high school’s football game last Friday, it was interesting with a 2 year old and an infant, but we managed to get some cute pictures and a video of Emma dancing.

Mr. Elias is 2 months old now, so of course I had to get pictures again.  :)

sweet chubby cheeks and a cute smile!

Daddy’s little buddy

This post is a little late, but I’ve had a busy week… so here goes.

Elias turned 8 weeks on Tuesday of last week, so I was determined to get a cute picture of him.  He never lets me catch his smile on camera, which made me more determined.  Emma joined in on the fun while she ate her peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which Pearl desperately wanted.

yummy

Pearl keeps a close eye on Emma and her sandwich

and she moves in for the clean up

now for the crumbs

now big sister is ready to help get Elias to smile

she held his chin with her hand and kept saying “come on little britches”  :)

I just can’t help taking pctures of these cuties  :)

We went up to the hospital last night and visited with Thomas and his parents  :)

Emma and Elias made a birthday card for Thomas and Emma sang Happy Birthday to him.

So, after a long night and early morning, Mr. Thomas Glenn Rutledge was born at 3:42am on the 14th of August.  Deborah was great and in good spirits.  They had to do a cesarian finally and now he’s here!  I left Emma with Rob and took Elias with me, so we’ll post pictures later of the 3 of them together; for now I’ll post the pictues I took early this morning.

I got this off of Bethany’s blog, so here goes:  As a comment on my blog, leave 1 memory you and I have shared together. It doesn’t mater how old or new the memory is, just something you and I have shared. And, for my blogging friends, if we have yet to meet, leave me a comment letting me know something I have posted that was “memorable” to you.  If you leave me a comment, I’ll come to your blog and leave you a comment as well.

We went up to the hospital last night to keep Ryan and Deborah company for a little while and so that Emma can get used to the idea of Thomas coming.  Emma was excited and upset off and on yesterday about Thomas coming.  I think it is sinking in that Aunt Deborah has to be in the hospital and Emma is not going to have her Aunt all to herself anymore.  After dinner last night she decided she was excited again.

This picture doesn’t have anything to do with Thomas, but I just thought it was cute.  :)

So, I just got off the phone with Ryan, it’s about 2:30pm right now, and Deborah is finally having contractions.  They broke her water a little while ago and things are progressing now.  Yay!  :)
