Ok, so I am really behind on posting… we’ve had a busy last few weeks.
We took Elias with us to the Brewer game a few weeks ago, but Emma didn’t want to go because of the big blow up bear that she is “terrified of” (according to her). Here’s a picture of the boy cousins at the game.
Here’s a picture from our trip out to see my great Grandma, so Elias and Emma’s great great Grandma.
I am teaching the baby class on Wednesday nights at church, so we’ve been taking Elias and Thomas to class for the past few weeks. Here are their first attempts at sitting in the chairs at the table.
Emma decided that standing on Rob’s legs on the bed while we were dealing with Pearl’s infected chin was a good plan. Did I mention this was also at nearly midnight on a Tuesday/almost Wednesday? She fell off backwards and hit her face on a little plastic cart next to the bed. So, after talking with the Doctor’s office, we decided to take her up to the hospital. She had cut her gums and it looked pretty gross. She was very brave and let us show her mouth to the doctor. Luckily this part of your mouth heals so fast that she told us we wouldn’t need stitches, we just needed to keep it clean and it would heal on its own. Emma says that the doctor made her feel good, and that would be because she gave her an ice pop… other wise the doctor didn’t even touch her.
This of course happened the same day that I found out I got a new job. I’m working with MHMR now as an Early Childhood Intervetion Specialist. I hope it will be a fullfilling job. I’m not enjoying being away from the kids, but Rob’s doing a great job with them.
That next weekend Christi came in town to celebrate her birthday with her family. We went out to eat with them at Pei Wei and Jackson discovered he loves Elias car seat and likes to take pictures with my camera.

After lunch we took Emma to see the miniature horse show at Will Roger’s. They were really adorable.
I just have to add this cute picture!
Elias is starting to try some baby cereal…. just so he has some practice with using a spoon. He’d been watching us eat, so i figured it wouldn’t hurt to let him try. If you like his stylish bib, Aunt Christi got it for him.
Another new thing for us is that Emma and the twins started school last week when I went back to work. They’ll be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that, theoretically, Rob will get studying done…. that is if Elias will let him.
So I’ve been trying my best to catch Elias’s smile on camera for several months… he’s started to be little ticklish… so I worked on making him laugh when I want a picture.
I am not a huge fan or advocate of doughnuts, but there comes a time in a busy looong week that a sugar fix can be a treat. We decided to go Krispy Kreme this morning and they had fall doughnuts. Emma decided on a the pumpkin one and I got a pumpkin spice cake doughnut (yum!)
Elias sat quietly in my lap while we ate at first, then he started getting fussy. Rob tried holding him so I could finish eating and then we noticed he was looking at my food. Rob held it up to his mouth and he tried sucking on it. Oh no! My baby already has his sister and dad’s sweet mouth!!
success!!!
Emma told us she was going to help them make doughnuts (I have no idea why this picture is larger than the others… it is on the same setting… oh well… it’s a cute smile anyway)
when we left we ended up driving by a place selling pumpkins by the mall. We decided to stop and take some pictures. The nice lady even gave us some pumpkins for free when we tried to buy them.
So, now you are all updated
